THE TROUBLE AT SAXBY'S

Independent, unorthodox Roger West has a new superior at the Yard to contend with- as well as a killer, when some altered checks lead to a woman's death and an almost sure case against young Quist who had been following the guilty man. While Quist is rigged by three witnesses- in collusion, West is also compromised and smeared so that he has much to account for before he acquits himself.... The sure control and competence of this series does not seem to falter.
