THE WESTMINSTER DICTIONARY OF THE BIBLE

This is a valuable reference book for ministers, church workers, students and Bible teachers. It is the work of conservative scholars and will be of especial value to those whose theology and point of view is that of orthodox evangelical Christianity. Nevertheless, Professor Gehman who has rewritten and revised his predecessor's dictionary, has done much to modernize it. Recent advances in philology, archaeology, and Biblical criticism are noted and in some cases argued for in a fashion which fundamentalists of the old school would not appreciate. The dictionary would be more valuable if the print were not so small.
