At the crossroads of Florida's Highway 71, the four children of Charles Drovek have built a motel-shopping center empire, but while they are very successful- they have their personal troubles; the oldest, Charles, is married to a hopeless alcoholic and in love with another woman; the youngest, Pete, has a swivel-hipped wife; etc., etc. So that the plan to steal the savings of old Pop Drovek, while it is carried out — by his daughter-in-law and her lovers, and while it leads to a double murder, is only one of several points of interest here. Slick- and sexy stuff.
