CAPTAIN CUT-THROAT

Another sortie into history takes up the tale of the anonymous murderer of Napoleon's sentries at Boulogne when England waited his decision to invade. A tricky battle of wits pits English spy Alan Hepburn against Boney's minister of police, Fouche, as he is captured and offered the chance to find the terror-making Captain Cut-throat -- knowing that he is the favorite suspect. Trapped into the companionship of his French- English wife and the unscrupulous Madame de Sainte Elme by the puppet master, Hepburn survives the surveillance of Lt. Schneider, learns the Emperor's change of plans and escapes his doom by a two way bargain with Fouche, after he has conveyed information to the English warship, Medusa, in deaf and dumb language. A thundering tale in which the ""strutting Corsican"" is handed a more than villainous part.
