A short play, in the Greek manner, with choruses. Amusing --well written -- for the library rather than the footlights. Menelaos dead, Helen decides to seek out the ghost of Achilles, whom she had always admired, and -- regardless of her dead lovers encountered on her way -- she holds to her determination. She wins him, they find mutual cstasy, and then contact with a mortal fishing party reminds her that love cannot last, and she must needs tear herself away before it palls. She departs, determined on death -- but a lad from the fishing party persuades her to change her mind and linger in dalliance awhile longer.
