This is a picture book in a new vein for Zhenya Gay, and somehow it seems less successful, more stereotyped, and that in spite of the original and amusing text supplied by Pachita Crespi, a little story with a surprise ending. The pictures are in black and red, and they have plenty of humor but less imagination than some of her previous work.
