A on a group of untrusting Italians and their efforts to divide the profits from the of a Rotticelli, the treasure of a Tuscan town safely in superstition. Their ally is Roy Kimber, an Englishman whose marriage to American Anna is viewed by her wealthy father, Homer D. Hackenshaw. Mayor Roberto's efforts to get a price for the masterpiece are blocked by Homer's bag of tricks, and Father as a priest, leads to even greater complications so that when, Kimber and pursuing the deal in London, Homer lands in trouble it is the despised Kimber who gets everyone in the clear and earns his father-in-law's respect. Tricky double and hot-blooded Italians has its farce -- but not always finesse. Lightweight.
