MARY'S IMMACULATE HEART

Among the many writings dedicated to the veneration of the Virgin Mary, especially since the recent declaration of the dogma of her Assumption, this little synthesis of Marian doctrine and devotions should be especially welcomed by Catholics. It is an extremely scholarly piece of work, listing innumerable source references in many languages as Bibliography. The study of the tradition and history of devotion to the Immaculate is correlated with its development in private and public veneration and its final incorporation into the liturgy of the Church. Indeed the entire volume is an offering of devotion in itself.
