PRE-NATAL CARE FOR FATHERS by John Gould

PRE-NATAL CARE FOR FATHERS

By

Publisher: Stephen Daye

The idea is cute- the text is both amusing and sound common-sense, presented with a light touch- the pictures are deliberately dated, mid-Victorian, to point up the humor. But- I wonder- will the public get beyond the format to the text, or will the implication of the title be enough to set the book on its way? I found it better in retrospect, than in advance- which is not a good indication for sales. Only thing omitted is the inclusion of line-a-day personal notes (blank pages for the prospective father at the start of a family)- and a chapter on post-natal care.
