KIRKUS REVIEW

Another Pulitzer Prize winner with a collection of poems dealing largely with his native state, Arkansas, and with autobiographical fragments in verse. He is perhaps not as challenging as some of the younger poets, but is a sturdy scion of the American tradition, with a robust regionalism. Fine craftsmanship.
