Dr. Heuss, the Rector of Trinity Episcopal Church, New York, has compiled a useful volume of prayers old and new. Many of them will be found in other printed collections, but others are less familiar. They are chosen from many centuries and from many sources, and reflect the whole range of man's needs within the framework of man's eternal need for God. Many people are eager to possess such a collection to enrich their own devotional life, especially during Lent. Such a book as this will prove to be most acceptable.
