AUGUSTINE: Earlier Writing

Two additions to the great publishing venture, Library of Christian Classics, already totalling some 26 volumes by leading theological scholars. Dr. John Bailee, of New College, Edinburgh, Prof. John T. McNeill and Pres. Henry P. Van Dusen of Union Theological Seminary, New York, are series editors. With the decreasing ability of students to read the classics in the original text, this library is a necessity. Each volume has an editorial introduction....Vol. XIV covers selections from the writings not only of Wyelif, but of the Conciliarists, John Buss, Desiderius Erasmus. Vol. VI includes eight of the earlier writings of Augustine. Each volume has a valuable Bibliography. No longer will students of church history have to search scattered volumes for the significant writings of the church fathers. They will find them in this series.
