KIRKUS REVIEW

Published in the Spring to hold copyright. Push not to come until Fall. But first rate summer fiction for boys and girls who like good adventure stories. The White Phantom, a super speed boat, is stolen by a gang who need it to get off with the gold they have stolen. The inventor, his nephew and the financial backer are on board, with the overhanging threat of death. A bad storm results in the crew heading north, where they are marooned by ice. Nephew's friend to the rescue in a new airship, and the gang plots further theft, only to be stalled by one of their own group who has made friends with the boys and who saves the day. Good adventure, not ""written down"" to the juvenile audience.
