THE BIRDS OF AMERICA

This bids fair to be one of the most publicized gift books of the Fall. Whether it can break the jinx against recent Audubon books or not remains to be seen. Anyhow, at this price, a complete reproduction of the 453 illustrations of the Elephant Folio of Audubon's Birds, plus a descriptive text and introduction by William Vogt, editor of Bird Lore, the book is a grand buy. Identical paper with the $12.50 edition, bound in buckram, stamped in gold.
