KIRKUS REVIEW

This is a superior piece of merchandise, despite its use as a Book-of-the-Month dividend and membership campaign bonus. A glance back at the sales figures of the three books which are here combined (Birds 70,000, Wild Flowers- 25,000, Trees -15,000 -- each $2.95) indicates the scope of the market. A new introduction, a combined index, inclusion of the 300 paintings in full color by several artists, and the informative and provocative Kieran text, combine to make this a good buy. The individual volumes will continue to be sold on the Hanover House list.
