KIRKUS REVIEW

We are a small voice crying in the wilderness when it comes to John Klempner, for we think him one of the best of the moderns -- at his best in Once Around the Block, which applied a tart-smart manner to a very human portrayal of little people leading little lives. His new book is a partial repeat, somewhat less consciously clever, somewhat less moving, but once again adept in presenting white-collared young men and women running hard to keep up with themselves in an insecure world. Klempner has a very human touch and his situations ring true.
