KIRKUS REVIEW

This goes up the family tree from amoeba to man following reproduction from vegetative to sexual processes and produces some aspects of natural history that are fascinating. Plants and animals take on new aspects in the light of their fight for survival and courtship too is part of the picture as it leads to reproduction. This will companion Storer's Web of Life (1953) as a stimulating scientific introduction.
