Despite the lip-smacking title, the authors are not out to provide guidance on how to get the lady into the sack. In fact Carter and Wyse sound more like ""Dear Abby"" than the Playboy Adviser. ""Good manners are still good manners"" even in the age of the liberated woman. And this is primarily a guide to etiquette--helpful hints directed at the well-meaning man who doesn't wish to be a male chauvinist but isn't quite sure what the new rules are. They cover everything from flirting--""if you can't be cured from flirting, how about cutting down?"" to driving a car--""file your woman driver jokes with your old collection of Little Black Sambo stories."" And on the heavier subjects like freedom--""the right to pursue is also part of freedom"" and love--""most men know nothing about love."" What it lacks in profundity, it makes up for in good intentions.
