THE MEDICINE WHIP

The last haul of Whip Bradon, a freight contractor, through the Dakota territory, attracts not only the constant threat of hostile Indians but provides a chronic irritation- for Bradon- in Major Chard, who heads the military escort and shares the interest of pretty Tracy- on a visit to her aunt. Bradon defies Chard's orders, shows up his spit and polish judgment with his more seasoned experience, and in the end it is his sanguine courage which averts an Indian massacre and kills an enemy chief. An old trail, but a new coat of war-paint- and spirited.
