DEATH COMES ASHORE

Xenophon York, captaining a freighter, finds his unloading held up in Central America, by murders, girl trouble; his employer is held on suspicion of the first killing; the local police are generally uncooperative. He untangles the happenings; he puts the police straight; and he clears his cargo. There's a mysterious archaeologist involved, a scheming wife, a suspicious drunk and a belligerent pilot. Only so-so.
