KIRKUS REVIEW

A tale of mid-10th century France, written in present-day language. A grand tale of Finnian, Irish minstrel, who was caught up in the fierce fighting among Dance, Franks and rapacious barons on the one side, and an occasional baron, eager for an island of peace and a chance to raise his crops and better his vassals, on the other. I found it fascinating reading.
