First rate entertainment, and that, after all, is possibly the most important qualification for a novel. The setting is China; the story is packed with adventure, romance and just enough glamour of the Far East to cloak it in mystery. A young journalist, a bit at odds with himself and the world in general, becomes, whether he likes it or not, a sort of self-appointed guardian to a party of Americans, a Wall Street magnate, unwilling to yield in his endless struggle for supremacy , this time as a collector of ""Ming Yellow"", his spoiled daughter, his secretary. Should be easy to sell and easy to rent, for all who seek a good modern tale in a colorful background. Serialized in the Saturday Evening Post.
