KIRKUS REVIEW

Not poetry of easy emotions, or of romantic sentiment, but rather a ""private poetry"" whose somewhat Italianate derivations give it a quality of aloofness. There are abstractions, indirections, there is transference from painting to words, there are some lovely lines, sections. But on the whole it seems intellectualized beyond a general appeal.
