KIRKUS REVIEW

Written in conversational style, this is not a book to use as an information . Its purpose is to instill a sense of adventure in the reader by enabling him to the enormous range of activities possible in exploring the seacoast. This is truly a ""catalog of attractions"" that spans the whole gamut of exploration from skin diving, fishing, beachcombing, bird watching to a journey along the Intercoastal Water-. There is a drop of history -- What happened to ships that disappeared at sea? -- a little marine biology,- What kinds of fish can we expect to find in certain waters? -- some oceanography. What causes the tides and the waves? etc. But all in all, there is deal of excitement for anyone who has even been mildly intoxicated by that salty . When the authors ask, ""Are more of the pieces of the puzzle fitting together now?"" may not confirmation since he is given so many places with which to work, will be challenged to begin the adventurous shuffle.
