KIRKUS REVIEW

From the right antipasto to the right aperitif, this is designed to assist the ""rapid preparation of memorable menus."" All of the dishes here can be prepared in something less than an hour. A fairly select number of recipes have been chosen-in the conventional categories (even soups); tins and processed foods are often the take-off for the special touches which follow; wines are used- and on occasion- a not inexpensive ingredient. But the menus to be prepared are different-and have a definite dash-and should easily help the hurried or inexperienced housewife to hostess her guests with distinction.
