THE TRIAL OF ALVIN BOAKER by John Reywall

THE TRIAL OF ALVIN BOAKER

Pub Date: Feb. 23rd, 1947

The fallacy of circumstantial evidence is the theme of this extremely dull book. Presented first as court records (difficult hacking through legal verbiage) then as told by an elderly judge, the story of Alvin Boaker, federal judge, on trial for his wife's murder, builds gradually to his conviction, anticlimaxes with his efforts for retrial and eventual insanity as the whole plot against him is exposed. Unique, perhaps, but not recommended.
