KIRKUS REVIEW

Knight, pere and fils, are the only father and son team included in the Fishing Hall of Fame. They make a good writing team too for the purposes of this book. From the history of the fly rod through the instructions on casting technique to the care of reels, lines and leaders, the book is pithily informative and always to the point. The instructional portions are written in short sentences and the suggestions on stance, grip and casting seem easy to imitate.
