TOUGH COP

Involved melodrama backgrounds the story of a NYC detective, about to retire, who is caught by a pretty girl's distrust of the man supposed to be her father. It is the linking of four men, all with well-concealed past histories,- a drama critic, a publishers, an ex-champ, and a Bowery missionary,- that reveals this girl's parentage and the motives for the murders that occur, that leads to the real killer.
