RECENT LITERATURE AND RELIGION

The professor and chairman of the English Department of the University of Rochester traces the message of modern writers. What life means to them and what they write of that meaning, the ideals and inspiration that spur them on and through them their reading public. Some will be surprised to find themselves included, some at having religious motives attributed to them. On the whole an interesting study, one which will appeal to the religious, the cynical, the curious, the moderns, for it only covers the writers since 1900.
