KIRKUS REVIEW

Rod Devers, who had bought a spread and hung up his gun, takes it down again when he goes to ride and rod for rich Karl Hermann in order to pay off his debt on his land. Rod learns that wealth and wickedness are not synonomous; that Hermann is not his enemy and that disgruntled Abbot who wants his girl and his ranch offers the real opposition. No high blood count, but a steady pulse.
