Paddy Pork goes camping, in a sort of fortunately/unfortunately sequence where he triumphs over one setback after another. When an elegant motor car refuses to pick him up he gets a ride on a caravan which soon passes the stalled car; his tent's blown away in the wind and, chasing it, he tumbles onto a passing train; when a dog steals his clothes from the riverbank he borrows a scarecrow's tailcoat; mistaken for a concert pianist, he's chased off the stage by the real musician--and somehow, back to the caravan which brings him home again. Goodall's alternate half pages are not as fresh and only occasionally as functional here as in Paddy's first Adventure (1968), but his ups and downs do keep them moving.
