KIRKUS REVIEW

John Scarne has taken a poll of women gamblers--78% of the ladies gamble at one time or another...Gentleman that he is, he doesn't like to see them taken, as ""rank suckers,"" so he ticks off the ways and means of gambling from bank craps to horse racing. Tips on roulette: don't take it seriously, play for fun, not profit, budget yourself; other tips--how the Bingo caller can cheat and how you can cope with him; ten rules for playing winning poker (keep a poker face). Then there's the Scarne Riffle Test and Scarne Cut. But the odds are against this as a library item.
