KIRKUS REVIEW

Blessington, a somewhat staid and settled Englishman, sent on a financial mission to the English sector of Germany, is plunged into the complexities of a spy ring, gold smuggling and the violence of the Nazi underground. Clue chasing, he uncovers a chain of stations across the country, used under Hitler for smuggling prisoners out of Germany, finds it put to new use and old members sacrificed to the Nazi ambition for survival. In the Manning Coles tradition with close calls and near-tragedy, but with Dr. Bruderstein found alive and the gold almost intact the hunt is over.
