THE SLEUTH AND THE LIAR

Jim Marsden, seventeen, British, on holiday from school, becomes involved in the disappearance of Anne Barrow whose many fantasies about her parents must be untangled before he can follow the right trail. The backtrack leads to an unsolved murder, to a threatening juvenile group, to the peculiar actions of Anne's father and mother, and to Jim's final bid for Mrs. Barrow's life and Anne's future.
