Good old melodrama with high entertainment value, by the author of The Cadaver of Gideon Wyck and The Sea Witch (plus a collaborator, this time). Not, however, a horror story, but plenty of action, suspense, etc. and a pseudo-authentic background. The story of a fearless New York reporter's investigation of the death of another reporter, and of how he becomes involved in Tycoon Holtz' varied schemes of germ warfare. The plague which results brings about the Tycoon's downfall -- but the story is quashed. Rental library.
