By the author of Dress for Success and The Woman's Dress for Success Book--a guide to talking and acting, as well, like the upper-crust. As Molloy sees it, nine out of ten personnel people come from blue-collar backgrounds and unconsciously prefer the ""body carriage"" of the upper-middle-class. In fact, just about everybody prefers everything about the upper-middle-class, it seems, so we are advised: to take speech lessons from a professional; to acquire an aristocratic mien via instruction from actors; and to undergo hypnosis for excessive nervousness in interviews. Being liked, evidently, is largely a matter of matching one's verbal and nonverbal messages: witness poor Bill, whom everyone disliked because he grinned inappropriately. (Tape recordings and videos managed to cure that.) For those already garbed, at Molloy's bidding, in a proper beige raincoat who also want to strike the right pose.
