KIRKUS REVIEW

Good average Western stuff, in a story in which lumbering rights form the battleground. The central quarrel is between former Texas Ranger McCord, now a cattleman fighting to bring back his widowed brother's interest in life, and a crooked local boss. The brother's murder puts Lin in a tough spot, but a forest fire clears everything.
