KIRKUS REVIEW

Solider meat than most Westerns, with a note of authenticity in some of the regional stuff. A story of Dan Shea who comes to New Mexico to sell an idea, but is in turn sold another by the owner of a ranch, who wants and needs a partner (and incidentally acquires a son-in-law). Local enemies kick up plenty of trouble, but Dan runs down the essential facts and makes his own place, while at the same time he rids the community of the criminals. Post Civil War period.
