The shape of things to come is reflected in this collection of stories from Analog (formerly Astounding Science Fiction) and the introduction indicates the prophetic nature of much that has been written in this field. With Isaac Asimov as the best known of those appearing here, there's his personable story of a man who levitates; others include a planetary conquest of the earth; the world threat of a space ship off course; the archeological re-creation of a dead (Martian) civilization; and two shorter pieces with real humor- A Filbert is a Nut and Anything Wrong, Hardly. Believable, accessible.
