KIRKUS REVIEW

Poems based on the life of Christ. Taking texts from the Gospels, they either expand them or interweave them into poems based on the Adoration of the Magi, the Flight into Egypt, the Crucifixion, etc., etc. The religious feeling seems to be sincere and intense, the versification is fair. But the whole seems to be a rehashed and diluted form of the immortal lines quoted from the Bible. There is a hint throughout of the ""Second Coming"". For readers interested in religious verse--if not of the first order. Imprimateur.
