THE SHINING LEVELS: The Story of a Man Who Went Back to Nature

Yet another taking to the woods, only here the wilds are in the lovely English Lake District, and Wyatt still must cope -- with a rude and stiflingly smoky hut or a stone-and-earth oven, etc. But then there are other diversions: raising a roe deer (much against his will -- Wyatt is not a sentimentalist). He also discourses on moths, edible flora, the weather and comradely carousals with neighboring bachelors. Wyatt is amusing and agreeable -- not at all shitty about his enviable life. Likable.
