THE GLITTER-EYED WOUSER

Once again the Marriner family of the Carolama country are engaged in an adventure which brings the young reader close to the cliffs and canyons of the American west. This time young Ridi and her two older brothers search for a sheep killer. Although Ridi is convinced the assassin is the mythical man-like wouser, the real culprit turns out to be a killer wolf. The children's search brings them close to an orphaned Mexican boy who loses his dog in pursuit of the wolf, but gains the Marriners as a family. An exciting adventure with a rich background of human interest and outdoor detail. Readers of Treasure of High Country and the Young Mustangers will welcome this third encounter with the Marriners.
