KIRKUS REVIEW

The name of Cardinal Mindenty is known throughout the freedom-loving world because of his trial and conviction by the communists in his native Hungary. This volume, translated from a German version, does not bear upon the celebrated trial, save as it reveals a deep and unswerving faith which but makes his enforced confession the more incongruous. This book is a moving testimony to motherhood, inspired on the one hand by his reverence for his own adored mother, and, on the spiritual plane, by a recognition of the exalted place occupied by the Holy Mother in the Catholic faith. It will be of especial interest to Catholic readers.
