TECUMSEH AND THE INDIAN FEDERATION, 1811-1813: The Indian Nations East of the Mississippi are Defeated

A noble portrait of Tecumseh, who dreamed of a great Indian confederacy east of the Mississippi, is augmented here by a good deal of background on the causes of the War of 1812 and the campaigns fought in the Northwest Territory including some, like Perry's victory on Lake Erie, which did not directly involve Tecumseh's forces. Icenhower thus offers considerably more detail than one would expect to Fred at a text on this level in essentially the same manner. A good reference for students and readers of say, Wibberley's Red Pawns, but likely to disappoint those in search of a more informal biography.
