MEXICAN INTERLUDE

This I bracket with Howman and Dickinson's Mexican Odyssey for delightful reading, certainly for anyone who has been over any of the same ground, and I should think for anyone who has the yen to go to Mexico before it becomes tourist-ridden. Refreshing, informative in only casual fashion, humorous, colorful -- an account, day by day, of the Jackson's experiences touring Mexico in a Ford. There was nothing particularly unusual in the ground they covered (there Mexican Odyssey is ""one up"") but the very familiarity gives a nostalgic glamor, helping one relive ones own experiences. An ideal book to use as inspirational supplement to a factual guidebook on what to see, where to go, and what to do. With Joseph Jackson's widespread popularity on the radio, in the West, this should be a ""must book"" for the travel corner in all stores on the Coast, and bordering on Mexico. Good reading for the fireside journey, as well.
