This does for the field of ""erratic psychology"" what Devils, Drugs and Doctors does for medicine. Very interesting survey of the hoaxes put over on a credulous public through the history of psychology, of famous ""cases"" in hypnotism and spiritualism, of thought transference and magnetism and possession by demons, and the like. Some of the cases seem remote from present problems; some strike close enough home to impress one with the fact that we are still victims.
