EDUCATION FOR AN AGE OF POWER by Joseph K. Hart

EDUCATION FOR AN AGE OF POWER

Here's a book that seems always on the verge of getting somewhere and never does. He takes a long time working up to the main point -- that life must be reconstructed to meet the needs of the age of power we are facing, that education must be radically changed, that we cannot put ""old wine in new bottles"", that -- in the Tennessee Valley project, particularly -- we are given an opportunity to do some radical, social and educational reconstruction to keep pace with the economic reconstruction and the new life. BUT -- he has no tangible and constructive solution to offer, nothing one can put one's teeth into.
