Increasing business ties and so on demand a working knowledge of Portugues if we are to do our part towards hemisphere solidarity. Here-following the same method used in his Pan American Spanish, Ibarra presents about a dozen lessons with some basis bearing on essentials of daily life, then goes on to lessons of elementary grammar, vocabulary and exercises, and finally introduces the subtleties of grammar, structure and usage. The last third of the book is virtually a two way dictionary. Brazilian idiom and punctuation are observed in the process of the lessons. Second in language series.
