MARRIAGE IS FOR GROWN UPS

Forgetting their own embarrassing encomium to marriage, Love is All, and to a degree incorporating their earlier Freedom of Sexual Love, these marriage counselors have written a sound book on the expectable but not unavoidable areas of difficulty. Always stressing from the start the difference between cohabitive (meaningless) and relational marriage with the need for communicating (fear a prime inhibitor). The traditional trouble zones are money (reflects your own insecurity and self-interest), sex (and concomitant failures), in-laws and infidelity (it could be a golf course as well as a mistress -- anything which impedes) alcohol, and the having and rearing of children..... Given another institutional hazard (more than 300 books in print on the subject) this is reasonable advice without irritating exemplifications and oversimplifications.
