DOMINIE'S DAUGHTER

Plain everyday values and appeal for the story of Marcia, her early and happy marriage to Ford Knight, and the one source of sorrow -- the lack of a son. She loses her first baby -- a boy; her second, and last, is a girl. Partial compensation cames for a time through a young minister they protege, but who dies in the first war. Complete substitution comes with Johnnie, their daughter's husband, who proves to be really their son even though his marriage to their girl falls. Midwestern, very small town setting.
